Dr. S. Radhakrishan commission on higher education said, “The library is the heart of all the work of an educational institution, directly so, as regards its research work, and indirectly as regards its educational work which derives its life-force from research work. Scientific research needs a library as well as its laboratories, while for humanistic research the library is both library and laboratory in one.” In other words, the library is the core of an institution. As a resource it occupies the control and primary place, because it serves all the functions of teaching and researches the creation of new knowledge and transmission to posterity of the learning and culture of the present and the past. All of us realise that for the upliftment of our society and the nation, it is inevitable that our youth are shaped and polished through the touch-stone of higher education. And higher education can only be imparted through books which are preserved and made available in good libraries. Knowledge is expanding at a rapid pace and there is an information explosion all around us. The teaching faculties, the scholars engaged in research work as well as the students have to depend upon libraries. Keeping in view the foregoing ideas and opinions, the Janta Vedic College, a reputed institution of higher education in the faculties of Agriculture, Science and humanities has also put all out efforts to establish a well organized library with over 85,500 volumes on its shelves to cater to the needs of its thousands of students, many research-scholars and teachers. For its reading room, the library subscribes to the following periodicals and newspapers, both in English and Hindi:

The library opens at 09:00 AM and remains working up to 05:00 PM. It has a 24-hour power backup and photostat facility for the readers.
The college library has also developed a Book Bank catering to the needs of under privileged student's community. Such students are advised to make use of this facility since they can borrow costly books for their studies and the subjects.
This is an era with phenomenal expansion of boundaries of knowledge. No library is capable of acquiring even 10 per cent of published documents. It is estimated that the British Library alone will be adding about 2.4 million items per year to its collection. With such pace of increase in the number of published volumes, journals, magazines and newspapers any library can not be expected to be self-sufficient in all the branches of knowledge.
Also, the prices of reading materials are rising at an incredible rate. Under such circumstances, the college library is endeavoring to go in for automation and provide to its readers an access to the Internet. This is expected to help the readers, particularly those engaged in the research work and also the teaching faculty members, in providing the latest information in all disciplines of studies.

The college library is well-organized and has a qualified staff which ensures smooth running and satisfactory upkeep of the library. All the posts of library staff are already filled and the clientele are getting benefit of their experience, training and sense of duty.
