Mentorship

Practices followed by the College for mentorship:

The college mentorship program helps new students adjust to college life, academics, and social settings. It is especially helpful for students coming from outside the city. These students often face major changes and need extra support.

Although there is a fixed mentorship slot weekly, mentors are available to the mentees virtually all the time. They support students in their academic and emotional needs. Students are encouraged to openly share their difficulties. Mentors guide them to find their own solutions through discussion.

Mentorship plays a key role in student growth and career development. It helps resolve problems early, turning challenges into learning opportunities. Students gain direction and confidence through regular support.

Mentors are often the first to hear about bullying or harassment. Students sometimes reach out late at night, even with family-related stress. Mentors also counsel parents when needed, helping ease the student’s burden.
