The UGC-NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) proposes that every accredited institution should have an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) for performance evaluation, assessment, accreditation & quality improvement. Since quality enhancement is a continuous process, the IQAC of JVC has become an integral part and is working towards realizing the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance. The prime task of the IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the performance of institutions & also channelizing the efforts towards academic excellence. The success of IQAC depends upon the sense of belongingness and participation. IQAC is a statutory, facilitative and participative system/unit/organ of the institution. IQAC in JVC is acting as a vehicle for ushering in quality by working out intervention strategies to remove deficiencies and enhance quality.
IQAC aims to enhance the quality of academic and administrative performance of the institution, also ensures significant growth and achievements in all aspects of the institution and develop a quality culture in the institution by promoting innovation, advocating inclusion and catalyzing the holistic growth of its primary stakeholders.
- 1. To ensure periodic assessment of the teaching – learning, research and extension activities in the institution.
- To help in promoting conducive environment for quality teaching and learning in the institution.
- To facilitate faculty maturation to adopt knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process.
- To ensure development of institutional database and documentation of various activities leading to quality improvement.
- To collaborate with other stakeholders for quality evaluation, promotion and sustenance.
- To inculcate research culture among staff & students.
- To motivate departments to organize more Seminars, Conferences and Workshops.
- Arrangement for Feedback response from Students, Alumnae, Parents and other Stakeholders.
- Documentation of various programmes / activities leading to quality improvement.
- To design feedback system considering college output to adjust its performance to meet the desired output response.
- To recommend enhancing research facilities & other infrastructure.
- To recommend strategies adopted for teaching learning process.
- To conduct the internal audits, to work out the mechanism for timely, efficient and periodic progressive performance of Academic & Administrative activities on regular basis.
- Development and application of quality benchmarks/ parameters for the various academic and administrative activities of the institution.
- Dissemination of information on the various quality parameters of higher education.
- Organization of workshops, seminars on quality related themes and promotion of quality circles.
- Documentation of the various programmes / activities leading to quality improvement.
- Acting as a nodal agency of the institution for quality-related activities.
- Preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) to be submitted to NAAC based on the quality parameters.
