दशमोत्तर छात्रवृत्ति, जिसे पोस्ट-मैट्रिक छात्रवृत्ति भी कहा जाता है, यह छात्रवृत्ति उन छात्रों के लिए है जो अनुसूचित जाति (एससी), अनुसूचित जनजाति (एसटी), अन्य पिछड़ा वर्ग (ओबीसी), और अल्पसंख्यक समुदायों से संबंधित हैं। इसका उद्देश्य इन समुदायों के छात्रों को उच्च शिक्षा प्राप्त करने में मदद करना है, जिससे उनकी शिक्षा में आने वाली आर्थिक बाधाओं को दूर किया जा सके I दशमोत्तर छात्रवृत्ति योजनान्तर्गत अनुसूचित जाति के छात्रों की छात्रवृत्ति हेतु अभिभावक की आय-सीमा रू0 2,50,000/- (रूपये दो लाख पचास हजार) वार्षिक प्रति परिवार तथा सामान्य वर्ग के छात्रों की छात्रवृत्ति हेतु अभिभावक की आय-सीमा रू0 2,00,000/- (रूपये दो लाख) वार्षिक प्रति परिवार निर्धारित की गयी है।
उत्तर प्रदेश में, राज्य कृषि उत्पादन मण्डी परिषद (State Agricultural Produce Marketing Board) द्वारा किसानों के बच्चों के लिए छात्रवृत्ति योजना चलाई जाती है। यह योजना मुख्य रूप से कृषि संकाय में पढ़ने वाले छात्रों (स्नातक और स्नातकोत्तर) के लिए है. योजना का उद्देश्य किसानों के बच्चों को उच्च शिक्षा प्राप्त करने में मदद करना है. यह योजना मेरिट-आधारित है, स्नातक कृषि संकाय के 10 छात्रों को मेरिट के आधार पर यह छात्रवृत्ति दी जाती है एव स्नातकोत्तर के 5 छात्रों को भी मेरिट के आधार पर यह छात्रवृत्ति दी जाती है छात्रवृत्ति हेतु अभिभावक की आय-सीमा रू 50,000/- (पचास हजार) वार्षिक प्रति परिवार निर्धारित की गयी है। एव अल्प भूमि कृषक हो
यह छात्रवृत्ति ऐसे उन छात्रों को दी जाती है, जिनकी आर्थिक स्थिति अच्छी नहीं हैंI इस सहायता से पढ़ाई में कोई परेशानी नहीं आती है, इसे प्रदान करने का एक उद्देश्य यह भी होता है कि इससे वे विद्यार्थी अपने क्षेत्र में शिक्षा का स्तर बढ़ाने के साथ ही आगे चल कर कुछ अच्छा कार्य करेंगे।
