In view of the ever-increasing knowledge and expanding area of research and fulfilling its role, the college has taken some new initiatives in the field of higher education with focus on quality and equity and regional and rural needs:
#.Academic flexibility in the existing curricula to include regional and rural factors such as agro-service, dryland farming, silviculture, water management, soil conservation, forestry management etc.
#.Introduction of new and latest vocational courses designed and adopted by UGC, ICAR, ICSR etc like Industrial Chemistry, Microbiology, Bioinformatics, Environment Science, Biotechnology, Journalism, Translation Proficiency etc.
#.Organization of Regional/State/National/International level conferences and workshops for faculty development and professional competence.
#.Introduction of traditional Indian systems of yoga, yagna / havan, and moral and ethical education to channelise youth energy in proper direction.
#.Providing increased facilities of extra-curricular activities through NSS, NCC, Rovers and Rangers, Games and Sports, Quiz contests, Debate etc.
#.Providing remedial coaching to ST & SC students, distance learning through IGNOU study center and arranging programmes using UGC's countrywide class room concept
#.Increased laboratory facilities in Science, Agriculture and Dairy Technology and linking them to research networks with such important laboratories as ISRO, CSIR, DRDO, DST, OCAR, DAE, ICMR and others.
