YAGYASHALA

A Yagyashala is a sacred space designated for performing Hawan or Vedic fire rituals, which are a vital part of ancient Indian spiritual and cultural traditions. The yagyashala was established in 1997 by the management committee of college with the main objective to promote vedic culture and provide peace in the college. At our college, the Yagyashala serves as a center for spiritual learning, cultural preservation, and value-based education.

Importance in Education:

The Yagyashala is not just a ritual space, but a symbol of holistic education—blending knowledge with character building, culture with science, and tradition with environmental consciousness.

Purpose:

Spiritual Practice: It is used for performing Havan to promote peace, harmony, and positive energy in the environment.

Cultural Education: Students learn about ancient rituals, Vedic mantras, and the significance of elements like fire (Agni), offerings (ahuti), and chanting.

Moral Values: Activities in the Yagyashala encourage discipline, focus, and respect for Indian heritage and nature.

Features of the Yagyashala:

  • Semi-covered space with a havan kund (sacred fire pit)
  • Arrangements for seating, chanting, and group participation
  • Use of natural elements like ghee, Camphor, herbs, and wood in rituals
  • Maintained in a clean, peaceful, and sanctified environment

Activities Conducted:

  •  Every Tuesday havan is conducted regularly for well-being and academic success
  • Special rituals during festivals or important academic events
  • Spiritual discourses and chanting sessions
  • Involvement of faculty and students in Vedic learning
