It gives me great pleasure to report that Janta Vedic College Baraut has been steadily growing and expanding since its founding as Jat Vedic High School in 1917 to meet the demand for higher education in this rural region of western Uttar Pradesh, which is rich in agricultural land and other natural resources. Our foresighted ancestors planted a little sapling on this site 90 years ago, and it has since grown into a large banyan tree with four branches, the other three being Janta Vedic Inter College, Janta Vedic Modern School and Industrial Training Institute, Baraut. Our four educational institutions are the first ones in the region, and they are all close to one another. With approximately 22,000 life members, the Jat Siksha Sabha, a registered organisation and a body that mostly represents the farming community of this region, manages and maintains these three schools to form a sizable educational complex in Baraut. These institutions have a great deal to do with our combined efforts and mutual cooperation. Excellence in all spheres, not just academic achievement, is our goal. In an effort to broaden the range of opportunities available to our students, we have worked to provide job-oriented vocational education since the rate of growing unemployment among educated youth has become a source of significant worry recently. Our great visionary leaders, like the late Choudhary Charan Singh, who felt that strict discipline and excellent moral character are the foundation stones of education, set the ideas and ideology that are upheld by our institutions. Our focus has always been on upholding adequate discipline and developing the pupils' moral character. We are also committed to developing the best talent among our students by encouraging them to take on difficult coursework and extracurricular activities and by offering them all the support they need based on their individual needs. Excellence in all spheres, not just academic achievement, is our goal. Although the growing rate of unemployment among educated youth has recently become a source of greater worry, Our goal has been to give job-oriented vocational education to our students to broaden their employment options since the soaring unemployment rate among educated youth has become a source of significant worry recently.
