Dr. Prashant Kumar Mishra is currently working as Assistant Professor in Department of Botany at Janta Vedic College Baraut, Baghpat (C. C. S. University, Meerut). He has completed his M.Sc. in Botany (2007) and awarded Ph.D. in Botany (2014) from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. He has qualified CSIR-UGC NET in 2007 and 2009 and awarded CSIR SRF in 2013. He also qualified GATE in 2006 and 2007. He has three years of teaching Experience of Botany for B.Sc. as well as M.Sc classes. Dr. Mishra has worked on antimicrobial activity of higher plant products (especially plant essential oils) for preservation of herbal raw materials and food commodities and published good quality research papers (20) in some journals of international repute such as Industrial Crops and Products, International Biodeterioration and Biodegradation, International Journal of Food Microbiology, Food Research International, Food and Chemical Toxicology, Journal of the Science of Food and Agriculture, Journal of Food Science and Technology, LWT Food Science and Technology, Food Control and Plant Biosystems. Dr. Mishra has also written three Book Chapters in reputed publications. He is a life-time member of “The Indian Botanical Society”
