DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURAL STATISTICS

The Department of Agricultural Statistics is one of the leading departments of the agriculture which was established in the year 2021 under Chaudhary Charan Singh university Meerut. Before that this department working under the supervision of Basic Statistics Department. Since then it has been actively engaged in teaching, research and extension activities. Since then the department is serving this auspicious semi-urban region and imparting quality education in the field of Agriculture statistics.

The department also imparts teaching of B.Sc. Ag. and M.Sc. Ag (all subjects) classes in Agricultural Statistics. All the latest teaching techniques are being adopted to teach Graduate & Post Graduate students.

Vision: The vision of the department is to become a premier and recognized center of excellence in teaching and research. 

Mission: The mission of the department is to provide quality education and research to the students for transforming their lives, and making them future professionals and academicians.

 Objectives:

• To equip the students with various statistical software’s for data analysis.
• To aqua in the students with basic, advanced and latest statistical methodologies and techniques.
• To enhance the computational skills of students by developing in them the Statistical problem-solving approach in topics related to statistics.

Since then it has been actively engaged in teaching, research and extension activities. The department is serving auspicious semi-urban region and imparting quality education in the field of Agriculture statistics. The department also imparts teaching of B.Sc. Ag. and M.Sc. Ag (all cources) classes in Agricultural Statistics. All the latest teaching techniques are being adopted to teach Graduate & Post Graduate students.

Teaching work at U.G. Level (B.Sc.Ag.)
At UG level four years B.Sc.Ag. Degree programme is available. At UG entry level three sections of minimum 80 students are admitted. The College admits students on the basis of merit from all sections of the society. The admission rules of the university and the reservation rules of the U.P. Govt are strictly followed. The syllabus of Agriculture Statistics offered different courses in B.Sc. Agriculture are as follows:
