Janta Vedic College, Baraut (Baghpat)
The Department of Library and Information Science at Janta Vedic College, established in 2018, is dedicated to promoting quality education and research in the field of Library Science. The department aims to provide students with contemporary knowledge of information organization, management, and dissemination so that they can become professionally competent in this important domain.
The department offers an undergraduate program that provides practical and theoretical training in library management, classification, cataloging, information services, and digital information technologies.
The department is headed by Mr. Brijraj Singh Tomar, Associate Professor and Head of Department, who possesses deep expertise and extensive academic experience in library science. Under his guidance, the department prioritizes academic excellence along with practical skills development.
The department regularly organizes seminars, workshops, book exhibitions, and information literacy programs to provide students with a broad understanding of modern information technologies and library services.
The primary objective of the department is to prepare skilled professionals who can effectively function not only in traditional libraries but also in digital information environments.
